Dr. Bee has been teaching anatomy for the Oakland University School of Health Sciences and Biology Department since 1999. In addition to teaching at OU, she holds appointments at other universities and hospitals. Within the past decade, she has earned over two dozen awards including the noteworthy Best Anatomy Professor in North America (Theima Award) from the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society, as well as the Teaching Excellence Award from Oakland University, Educator of the Year, Excellence in Teaching Award, Most Outstanding Didactic Instructor, among other awards. She has published four books, including: Bare Bones: Advanced Human Anatomy, Synapse: A Workbook Approach to Neuroanatomy, and Human Anatomy: A Workbook Approach, which are used at universities across United States and Canada. She has authored several book chapters and numerous journal articles. Her current research involves engaging students in hybrid anatomy education and investigating anatomical variations in human skulls and neck vasculature.
